Transfer Credits and Requirements

Get credit for what you've earned

At Â鶹AV, we accept coursework from all regionally-accredited colleges and universities. This includes almost all community colleges and most four-year institutions. We will carefully evaluate your transcript on a class-by-class basis, and transfer your credits into general education, elective credit and major coursework requirements based on their academic equivalency.

In order to qualify as a transfer student at Â鶹AV, you must have earned a minimum of 12 semester (18 quarter) hours of transferable credit at a regionally accredited post-secondary institution with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Certain Lewis majors require higher GPAs.

  • Nursing students need a 2.75 cumulative GPA for admission consideration.
  • Biology and Education majors must be admitted with a 2.75 cumulative GPA to begin major courses.
  • Air Traffic Control students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA to declare the major.

If you have attended more than one institution prior to transfer, you must submit official transcripts from ALL colleges or universities you previously attended. We will combine your grades and earned credits into a cumulative GPA for evaluation.
